Job summary

HHM Hotels is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead maintenance across the property, ensuring guest service, safety, and sustainability standards are met. You will supervise engineers, schedule preventive maintenance, and oversee small projects.

You will manage bids and contracts with 3rd party vendors, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure life-safety systems remain 100% operational while complying with local codes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• HVAC certification required.
• Previous supervisory engineer/maintenance experience required.
• Other certifications may be required based on local needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance team and ensure alignment with brand standards and HHM values.
• Oversee bids, quotes, and contracts for third-party vendors.
• Manage small projects and Property Improvement Plans (PIPs).
• Perform and oversee diverse repairs including sheetrock, painting, furniture refinishing, and fixtures replacement.
• Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment; maintain HVAC and life-safety systems.
• Maintain PM records across rooms and equipment and ensure 100% operation of life-safety systems.
• Ensure compliance of service contracts with local, state, and federal codes.
• Maintain exterior and curb appeal following EarthView sustainability guidelines.
• Uphold safe work practices per MSDS and OSHA; enhance guest satisfaction.
