Job summary

HHM Hotels seeks a Chief Engineer to lead maintenance across the hotel, ensuring guest services and sustainability standards are achieved. You will manage vendors, oversee small projects, and supervise repairs, while maintaining PMs and life safety systems to 100% operability.

The role requires supervisory engineering experience and an HVAC certification, with emphasis on compliance and safety, and a focus on guest satisfaction through reliable service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or trade school preferred.
• Previous supervisory engineer/maintenance experience required.
• HVAC certification required.
• Other certifications may be required based on local needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach associates to meet brand standards and HHM values.
• Oversee bids, quotes, and contracts for third-party vendors.
• Manage small projects or Property Improvement Plans and report progress.
• Perform and supervise diverse repairs including sheetrock, painting, and fixtures replacement.
• Troubleshoot kitchen equipment and heating/cooling pumps; install TVs.
• Maintain PM records for rooms and equipment; test life safety systems.
• Coordinate service contracts to meet codes and compliance.
• Maintain building exterior and curb appeal per EarthView guidelines.
• Uphold safe work practices per MSDS and OSHA to boost guest satisfaction.
