Job summary

HHM Hotels is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to support the Chief Engineer in maintaining guest rooms and public areas, ensuring safety, sustainability, and operational standards across the hotel.

You will supervise maintenance staff, schedule repairs, and perform routine electrical, plumbing and HVAC related tasks while ensuring compliance with brand standards and local codes. The role requires flexibility for varying shifts and a focus on guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance and systems repair.
• Ability to work with safety standards and brand guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist Chief Engineer in interviewing, training and coaching associates.
• Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs.
• Install or repair basic electrical fixtures and light components.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete work orders.
• Maintain life safety systems and coordinate with service contracts.
• Follow safety practices and MSDS/OSHA standards.
