Job summary

HHM Hotels is seeking an Area Chief Engineer to oversee maintenance and engineering staff across multiple hotels. You will ensure properties are maintained to HHM standards and sustainability guidelines while managing preventive maintenance and safety systems.

The role involves supervising staff, coordinating vendor bids, and overseeing in-house projects to preserve property condition and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and/or trade school coursework in related field preferred.
• Previous engineer/maintenance experience in a hotel setting strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with brand or hotel standards and HHM core values.
• Manage and coordinate bids, quotes and contracts for 3rd party vendors.
• Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs.
• Maintain and repair life safety systems to ensure 100% operation.
• Perform preventative maintenance on a scheduled basis and keep PM records.
