Graduate Hotel by Hilton in Richmond, VA is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Hotel Cook for part-time shifts, covering breakfast (6:00 AM–10:30 AM) and evening service (4:30 PM–10:30 PM). The role supports both breakfast and dinner/bar operations while ensuring food is prepared to brand standards and guest needs are met.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience preferred, hotel experience a plus.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 30 lbs.
• Weekend and holiday availability required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to Holiday Inn brand standards.
• Execute evening dinner/bar menu items with consistency and quality.
• Ensure proper food presentation, portioning, and temperature control.
• Maintain readiness for both individual guests and group meal service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen at all times.
• Follow health department and food safety regulations.
• Properly store, label, and rotate food (FIFO).
• Assist with daily prep and breakdown of kitchen operations.
• Ensure all equipment is used and maintained correctly.
• Assist with tracking food and supply levels.
• Support monthly inventory counts.
• Communicate shortages or ordering needs to management.
• Work closely with Front Desk, Sales, and Management on group needs.
• Communicate clearly during shift changes to ensure smooth transitions.
• Support banquet setup and food preparation when needed.
