Job summary

J&P Hospitality Management, LLC is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in overseeing daily hotel operations and delivering high-quality service.

This hands-on role supervises staff, coordinates front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance, and steps into frontline positions as needed. The AGM reports to the General Manager and is on-site in Albuquerque, NM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year in hotel operations, hospitality, or customer service preferred.
• Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Clear English; bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Must be 18+ and eligible to work in the United States.
• Employment is subject to E-Verify verification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise front desk, housekeeping, custodial, and maintenance staff daily.
• Support check-ins, guest inquiries, and front desk operations.
• Inspect rooms and public areas for quality and readiness.
• Monitor cash handling and deposit procedures at the front desk.
• Lead guest incident responses and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to address guest needs.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training.
• Provide daily updates to the General Manager.
