Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–2 years cooking in hotel, resort or high-volume restaurant.
• Familiarity with cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and plate presentations.
• Stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight.
• Food Handler’s Certification (or ServSafe) required or upon hire.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Team player with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items on the hot line (grill, sauté, broiler, fryer).
• Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specs set by the hotel or Chef.
• Maintain clean, organized stations and equipment.
• Ensure all food is cooked to correct temperatures and quality standards.
• Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies before service.
• Coordinate with culinary and service teams for timely meal service.
• Assist with banquet or special event menus as needed.
• Comply with health and safety regulations and food handling procedures.
• Monitor food waste and report shortages or equipment issues to supervisors.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
