Job summary

Remington Hospitality is seeking a Sales Manager to maximize hotel sales occupancy and rates in coordination with hotel operations. The role emphasizes aggressive outside and inside sales efforts, client proposal management, and maintaining sales quotas while ensuring guest satisfaction.

You will allocate ~80% of time to active sales solicitation, assist DOS with annual marketing plans, and coordinate with catering for group events to optimize revenue and guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct aggressive solicitation through outside calls, appointments, phone, letters and mail; 80% of time in active sales solicitation.
• Assist the Director of Sales with annual marketing plan development and action plans for target market segments.
• Send proposals on leads that fit the property profile and promptly convert to definite status; issue proposals and confirmations upon space hold.
• Detail client room block, suite and meeting space requirements on booking sheets to secure accurate facilities.
• Obtain, document and route group information including billing, credit, rooming lists and VIP arrangements; relay menus and AV needs to catering.
• Maintain a sales quota as assigned by the DOS and ensure high levels of guest satisfaction.
• Provide weekly sales call reports and planned sales call itineraries to the DOS.
• Collaborate with associates and uphold a culture of guest service and courtesy in every encounter.
• Complete any reasonable management-directed tasks as needed.
