Hotel Equities seeks a dynamic Director of Operations to lead hotel teams, uphold brand standards, and drive exceptional guest experiences in Charlottesville. The role emphasizes strategic leadership, financial oversight, and ongoing staff development to meet business goals.

You will collaborate across departments, monitor performance, and respond to guest concerns with a focus on service excellence while maintaining flexibility with hours and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred for director-level roles.
• Previous hotel or hospitality experience.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for assigned hotel operations and associates.
• Set clear expectations and monitor performance, productivity, and service standards.
• Coach, train, develop, and recognize associates to support engagement and retention.
• Monitor operational and financial performance and take appropriate action to achieve goals.
• Ensure compliance with Hotel Equities standards, brand requirements, and company policies.
• Respond effectively to guest concerns and support a consistent service-recovery culture.
• Manage schedules, staffing, supplies, and departmental resources as appropriate.
• Review reports, trends, and key performance information to support sound decisions.
• Communicate effectively with hotel leadership and other departments.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning as appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
