Job summary

Shake Shack is seeking a Restaurant Manager in the Norfolk, VA area. You will oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure outstanding service, train staff, and motivate teams to deliver exceptional hospitality. You will lead initiatives to promote the brand locally while enforcing sanitation and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have 2-3 years in high-volume restaurant management, strong operations knowledge, and a knack for coaching and financial insight. Flexibility with hours is expected.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of restaurant management in a high-volume setting.
• Knowledge of restaurant operations including staffing, food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation and health codes.
• Aptitude for leading, coaching, and driving excellence at every level.
• Understanding of financial aspects of business operations.
• Food handler certification, preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily restaurant operations to ensure superior service and guest satisfaction.
• Train team members on all Shack operations.
• Motivate and manage team members to provide highest level of hospitality.
• Demonstrate leadership with a focus on coaching and achieving excellence.
• Develop and implement plan to promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
