Job summary

Capstone Restaurant Group in Illinois is seeking an Assistant Manager to drive sales growth, uphold standards of excellence, and oversee food service flow during your shift, including task assignments, cash control, and delivering high-quality hospitality.

You will train team members under the General Manager, support daily operations, and help develop staff while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and maintaining equipment and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Ability to train and develop team members.
• Experience managing HR issues, payroll and inventories in a restaurant setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise team members and shift leaders to maintain quality, service, and profitability.
• Coordinate staff training with team trainers.
• Maintain constructive working relationships with management and staff.
• Handle HR issues including disciplinary actions.
• Conduct team meetings to discuss operations and promotions.
• Perform weekly inventories and manage labor costs.
• Control inventory to meet GAP standards.
• Support the General Manager in daily operations and decision making.
• Maintain records and reports per company standards and regulations.
• Ensure sanitation, safety, and security policies are observed.
