Job summary

The Technical College of the Lowcountry seeks an adjunct Hospitality Instructor. This individual will prepare lesson plans for classroom instruction, develop program syllabi, goals, and objectives. Evaluating student’s progress in attaining goals and objectives.

Maintaining program certification requirements as appropriate. Preparing and maintaining all required documentation and administrative reports. Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and/or Hospitality from a nationally/regionally

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business and/or Hospitality from an accredited college or university.
• Five years of paid work experience in Hospitality/Tourism within past seven years, with at least one year in management.
• Teaching/training experience is preferred.
• Must be ServSafe Manager certified or willing to obtain within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans for classroom instruction.
• Develop program syllabi, goals, and objectives.
• Evaluate student progress toward goals and objectives.
• Maintain program certification requirements and required documentation.
• Attend staff development trainings and maintain safety in training areas.
• Meet with students, staff, and educators to discuss instructional programs.
• Manage and submit purchase requests and maintain supplies.
