Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Visitor Screening Ambassador to greet patients and guests, provide accurate information, and support a positive hospital image. You will help with patient status inquiries, visiting hours, directions, and escort coordination as needed.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Strong customer service (1 year+) and communication skills.
• Phone and computer skills with the ability to multitask.
• Familiarity with basic medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the customer service informational resource for patients, families and visitors.
• Greet patients and visitors promptly and courteously with accurate information.
• Provide patient status information, visiting times and directions to facilities.
• Assist with the visitor management program, including data entry and tracking.
• Manage a high volume of telephone calls and coordinate transportation as needed.
