Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a friendly Visitor Screening Ambassador to welcome patients and visitors, provide information, and support hospital operations. You will handle calls, assist with screening tasks, and help coordinate visits and schedules in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and strong customer service and communication skills. Training will cover safety protocols, PPE distribution, and patient confidentiality within a teaching

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year+ customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient phone and computer skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Familiarity with basic medical terminology a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors promptly and provide information about services.
• Assist with visitor management and data entry, including basic screening tasks.
• Use schedules and locations to provide accurate appointment information.
• Handle high volume calls from patients, families, vendors, and staff.
• Distribute PPE and assist with basic patient and visitor workflow.
