Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Visitor Screening Ambassador to greet patients and visitors as they enter the hospital and to provide accurate information about services. This role works closely with multiple departments to ensure patient and visitor satisfaction and smooth operations in a busy hospital environment.

The position requires strong customer service, good communication and computer skills, and the ability to multitask.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Strong customer service (1 year +) and communication skills.
• Phone and computer skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Familiarity with basic medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors promptly and courteously with accurate information about services.
• Assist with visitor management and screening tasks, documenting data.
• Provide schedules and directions, assist with patient location and admissions information.
• Handle high volumes of calls from patients, visitors, vendors, and staff and coordinate transportation as needed.
