Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking a Unit Clerk for the Daly 6A ACE unit in Springfield. The role supports bed management, admissions/discharges, and communication among nursing staff to ensure smooth unit operations.

Under supervision, you will manage patient records, coordinate with multiple departments, and provide reception for visitors while assisting families and clinical staff. Prior clerical experience in healthcare is preferred.

Qualifications

• GED or HiSET required.
• Experience with hospital clerical duties is preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health records is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Bed management support and unit throughput coordination.
• Answer routine inquiries and relay messages to staff promptly.
• Prepare and organize patient records and discharge paperwork.
