Job summary

Beverly Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, is seeking a Telecommunications Operator to answer and route calls across Beverly and Addison Gilbert Hospitals and affiliated centers. The role involves handling emergency code communications, documenting information, and coordinating with security and staff.

The operator will monitor alarms, assist in decedent paperwork with the state registry, and communicate with funeral homes as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Working knowledge of email and Microsoft Office.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Answer, evaluate, and facilitate incoming calls to Beverly and Addison Gilbert Hospitals and affiliated centers.
• Monitor hospital safety/security alarms and code blue/emergency communications.
• Document patient and required information into hospital records and coordinate code communications.
• Coordinate decedent transfer with funeral homes and complete decedent paperwork as needed.
