Job summary

Enloe Health in Northern California is seeking a Switchboard Operator to receive external and internal calls, direct callers to the correct department, and monitor alarms, cameras, and emergency phones as needed. The role requires quick, clear communication and ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Experience in a hospital PBX or answering service is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook helps support a variety of administrative tasks, and the position

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a hospital PBX setting and/or answering service.
• Must follow instructions, work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment.
• Must be able to communicate clearly, quickly and effectively.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook (Office Suite) to support multiple functions.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.

Responsibilities

• The Switchboard Operator receives external and internal calls and directs callers to the appropriate department or person.
• Monitors alarms, cameras and emergency phones and responds as appropriate.
• Serves as a resource contact and supports various aspects of Center operations.
