Job summary

Falmouth Hospital Association in Massachusetts–Falmouth is seeking a Staffing and Scheduling Coordinator to oversee staffing for Surgical Services, Medical/Surgical units and the Emergency Department in line with budget and patient care needs. This role handles time records prior to payroll and maintains the computerized scheduling system.

You will coordinate shifts, provide training on scheduling tools, generate reports for managers, and ensure timely completion of tasks with a focus on CARES

Qualifications

• High School diploma; college degree preferred.
• Equivalent of two years of Business College preferred.
• Two to four years supervisory experience in business operations, communications, manpower planning, scheduling, and computer familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Handles all aspects related to employee time records prior to timecard processing (sick calls, filling open shifts, sign ups, daily schedule reconciliation).
• Functions as the central communication source regarding staffing and scheduling issues.
• Responsible for overall coordination of department staffing and scheduling in line with budget and patient needs.
• Responsible for tracking and generating reports for Department Managers.
• Performs duties with a customer service approach to all activities.
• Manages multiple projects and responsibilities.
• Coordinates schedules for assigned staff according to needs identified by manager.
• Maintains and troubleshoots computerized scheduling system.
• Codes and enters data into computer using standard procedures and established time schedule.
• Provides direction to constant observer staff.
• Provides training and support to end-users.
• Establishes own work plan and priorities using standard procedures to assure timely completion of assigned work.
