Under management direction, a Hospital Services Worker travels between customer healthcare facilities providing on-site proactive collection and exchange of waste containers for various Stericycle programs, including but not limited to: Sharps Management Service, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substances, and Document Management. This service is provided at regularly scheduled intervals for assigned facilities.

Key Job Activities:

1. Travels between customer healthcare facilities to proactively monitor, collect, and exchange waste containers for various Stericycle programs and services, including but not limited to: Sharps Management Service, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substances, and Document Management. (70%)
2. Interacts professionally with onsite customer staff to ensure service expectations are met or exceeded. (10%)
3. Maintains a rigid collection and service schedule. (10%)
4. Communicates duty status on a defined schedule. (5%)
5. Performs other related duties as required or requested. (5%)

This position will work remotely and is a non-sales opportunity. It requires travel within your territory, so a personal vehicle is necessary.

Schedule and Location:

• Days: Monday through Friday (40 hrs a week)
• Start time: 5:00 am
• Locations: 20 different hospitals between Cincinnati and Dayton

Education:

Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Experience (North America & LATAM):

• Required Years of Experience (North America only): 2+ years
• Preferred Experience: Good knowledge and understanding of relevant tasks
• Management experience: None required

* Education equivalent to graduation from high school or GED.

* 2+ years of related experience, customer service preferred, or equivalent work experience.

* Demonstrate strong communication skills and tact in providing superior customer service.

* May require mandatory immunizations and credentialing based on customer requirements.

* Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

* Knowledge of computer and handheld software applications, including spreadsheets and KPI tracking tools.
