Job description

Position Purpose:

Under management direction, a Hospital Services Worker travels between customer healthcare facilities providing on-site proactive collection and exchange of waste containers for various Stericycle programs, including but not limited to: Sharps Management Service, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substances, and Document Management. This service is provided at regularly scheduled intervals for assigned facilities.

Key Job Activities:

1. Travels between customer healthcare facilities to proactively monitor, collect, and exchange waste containers for various Stericycle programs and services, including but not limited to: Sharps Management Service, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substances, and Document Management. (70%)
2. Interacts professionally with onsite customer staff to ensure service expectations are met or exceeded. (10%)
3. Maintains a rigid collection and service schedule. (10%)
4. Communicates duty status on a defined schedule. (5%)
5. Performs other related duties as required or requested. (5%)

This position is remote and non-sales. It requires travel within your territory; a personal vehicle is necessary.

Schedule and Location:

• Start Time: 9am
• Facilities: Mon through Friday - Mission Hospital - Asheville, NC
• Every other Tuesday: Harris Regional Hospital - Sylva, NC

Education:

Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent (GED)

Experience (North America & LATAM):

• Required: 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably in customer service
• Preferred: Good knowledge and understanding of related field
• Management experience is not required

* Demonstrate strong communication skills and tact in providing superior customer service. * May require immunizations and credentialing based on customer requirements. * Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. * Proficiency with computer and handheld software applications, including spreadsheets, to track KPIs.
