Under management direction, a Hospital Services Worker travels between customer healthcare facilities to provide on-site proactive collection and exchange of waste containers for various Stericycle programs, including but not limited to: Sharps Management Service, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substances, and Document Management. Services are provided at regularly scheduled intervals for assigned facilities.
This position is remote and non-sales. Reliable transportation to travel within your territory is required.
Travels between healthcare facilities to monitor, collect, and exchange waste containers for Stericycle programs. (70%)
Interacts professionally with onsite staff to meet or exceed service expectations. (10%)
Maintains a strict collection and service schedule. (10%)
Communicates duty status on a scheduled basis. (5%)
Performs other related duties as required. (5%)
High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
* At least 2 years of related experience, customer service preferred, or equivalent work experience.
* Strong communication skills and tact in customer service.
* May require immunizations and credentialing based on customer requirements.
* Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Proficiency with computer and handheld software applications, including spreadsheets and KPI tracking tools.
