Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System Union Hospital in Dover, OH is seeking a Dispatcher to join our Security Department. You will protect patients, visitors, caregivers and hospital property by coordinating dispatch office activities and communications.

The role requires handling calls, regulating radio traffic, directing visitors, monitoring CCTV, and executing emergency procedures in line with Facility Orders and MC I Manual.

Qualifications

• High school graduate
• Computer software proficiency
• Typing and data entry skills
• Clear speaking voice over a security radio system
• Ability to dispatch personnel in escalating situations
• Visual acuity to monitor security screens continuously
• Experience in security/dispatch preferred

Responsibilities

• Receive calls and requests for service and formulate correct responses.
• Regulate radio traffic by dispatching calls and relaying information.
• Answer questions and give directions to visitors, caregivers and patients.
• Monitor hospital activity on closed circuit television and respond to escalating situations.
• Implement procedures for emergency situations as indicated in Facility Orders and MC I Manual.
• Complete documentation for dispatch logs, equipment logs, helipad logs, lost and recovered property, occurrence reports.
• Maintain knowledge of access control systems and alarm systems.
