Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a full-time Security Officer to receive and relay emergency information to Protective Services. Responsibilities include documenting events, monitoring CCTV and access control, and dispatching responders for incidents on or near the campus in Columbus, OH.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with an associate’s degree preferred. Weekend shifts are required and training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Background in security, law enforcement, or military experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Documents communications and events in the incident reporting system.
• Answers and prioritizes emergent and non-emergent calls.
• Monitors CCTV cameras and access control systems.
• Dispatches appropriate parties to incidents on or around campus.
• Notifies Protective Services officers of incoming helicopters and EMS.
• Acts as liaison for visitor and employee day-to-day activities.
