Qualifications

• HS Diploma required; A.S. in Criminal Justice or equivalent preferred.
• CPR certification
• Must possess and maintain the ability to legally operate a motor vehicle in the state of Massachusetts.
• 6 months to 1 year preferred Security and Customer Service Experience
• Detailed in responsibilities and duties

Responsibilities

• Performs daily Operational Functions to meet the department's needs.
• Responds to stat requests for assistance and to emergency situations.
• Documents all incidents and informs the Public Safety Desk Officer.
• Completes incident reports clearly and promptly.
• Use de‑escalation techniques with disruptive individuals.
• Provide escorts to patients, visitors, employees, and staff as needed.
• Patrols BMC property and controls access.
• Perform Public Safety Desk Officer duties as assigned.
• Coordinate activities of Public Safety during non-business hours.
• Maintain chain of custody for property and evidence.
• Monitor electronic security systems and escalate as required.
