Job summary

Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a PBX Operator PRN to manage incoming and outgoing calls and monitor emergency alarms.

You will support multiple departments with clerical tasks, paging for cardiac care units, and coordinate with leadership to ensure timely communication and patient safety. Strong customer service and written/verbal communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• A minimum of one year of experience on a multiple-position telephone switchboard is required.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to identify customer service issues and assist with the resolution of the problem.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Computer literate.
• Work independently and is self-directed and motivated.
• Communicate with people in an effective, pleasant tone of service.

Responsibilities

• Respond to handle emergency requests for cardiac care units and resuscitation teams by activating pagers, utilizing the public address system, and following established procedures.
• Provide productive clerical support to various departments while answering calls and emergency codes, including organizing, labeling, laminating, and prep work as assigned.
