Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Answer the switchboard in a calm and professional manner.
• Page personnel as authorized, verify and record emergency calls.
• Maintain department on-call schedules.
• Report telephone repair problems.
• Monitor alarms in the PBX operator room and report to Engineering when alarms.
• Monitor CODE line and respond if alarms activate as authorized.
• Transfer calls to the correct extension or department.
• Review and record information in the Communication Journal.
• Utilize the CPCS system to facilitate inquiry to provide accurate patient location.
