Job summary

Concord Hospital seeks a Transporter to provide direct basic patient care and transportation for a group of patients, under the guidance of the Registered Nurse. You will assess patient mobility and ensure the correct transport mode is used, assisting with bed, stretcher, or wheelchair transfers.

You'll also move medical equipment, records, specimens, meal trays, and supplies, while maintaining patient privacy and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• CPR Heartsaver certification within 3 months of hire.
• Experience working with patients and hospital teams.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to nursing and transports patients to designated areas of the hospital.
• Transports medical equipment, medical records, laboratory specimens, patient meal trays and materials to appropriate destinations.
• Responsible for the privacy of patient records, stability of specimens and the conformance of equipment.
• Dispatch resources utilizing critical thinking to meet patient care needs in an effective and efficient manner.
• Maintain safe patient handling and equipment competence, and support daily operations.
