Job summary

Concord Hospital transporter position involves providing direct basic patient care and transportation under the guidance of the Registered Nurse. You will assess mobility, ensure correct transport mode, and assist patients to/from bed, stretcher, or wheelchair while handling oxygen, Foley bags, and IV pumps.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 3 months of hire date.
• Experience working with patients and nursing staff as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to operate hospital transport equipment and follow safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to nursing and transports patients to designated areas.
• Transports medical equipment, records, laboratory specimens, and meals as needed.
• Ensures privacy of patient records and integrity of specimens and equipment.
• Acts as fill-in dispatcher and liaison between team resources and customers for efficient operations.
• Adheres to safe patient handling policies and demonstrates equipment competence.
