Job summary

Concord Hospital Health System is seeking a Transporter to provide direct basic patient care and transportation under the guidance of the Registered Nurse.

The role includes assessing patient mobility, ensuring correct transport mode, and assisting with bed, stretcher, or wheelchair transfers. You will also move equipment, records, and specimens, and support the nursing team in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification within 3 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to nursing and transports patients to designated areas of the hospital.
• Transports equipment, records, specimens, meal trays and materials to appropriate destinations.
• Serves as fill-in dispatcher and uses dispatch database to meet patient care needs.
• Acts as liaison between team resources and customers, managing day-to-day operations.
• Demonstrates time management and safe patient handling with equipment.
