Job summary

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or related field and RD certification, with strong leadership, food safety, and quality-improvement experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Service, Dietetics, Nutrition or Management; Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 6 months of hire.
• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required by first day of work in UT/ID states.
• ServSafe certification within 90 days if not current.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and e-mail and scheduling applications.
• Experience in quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operations of patient meal services.
• Partners with nursing to meet patients’ needs through education and guidelines.
• Leads patient meal areas and trains in therapeutic diets; coordinates with frontline caregivers on provider orders.
• Implements clinical best practices to deliver care at an appropriate cost.
• Provides value-based leadership to build high-functioning teams in an accountable environment.
• Performs HR duties: hiring, training, mentoring, evaluating, discipline, termination.
• Ensures food safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Monitors quality and patient satisfaction scores; develops improvement plans.
• Collaborates with clinical team on patient diet orders and concerns.
