Jackson Creek Memory Care is seeking a dedicated Dietary Cook to maintain safe, sanitary kitchen operations, prepare nutritious meals in large quantities, and follow planned menus for residents.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, at least one year of hospital or long-term care cooking experience, and a ServSafe certificate; PCC knowledge preferred. The role includes training of dietary staff and potential supervision in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of cook experience in hospital or long-term care facility.
• Must obtain ServSafe Certificate.
• Knowledge and experience with PCC preferred.

Responsabilités

• Maintain the kitchen and cooking areas in a safe, orderly, clean, and sanitary manner.
• Prepare tasteful meals and cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Follow prepared menus and portion control guidelines.
• Prepare special diets accurately according to resident needs and dietary orders.
• Record food temperatures for all meals as required.
• Prepare pureed foods according to established guidelines.
• Maintain quaternary sanitizer solution in designated sanitizer buckets.
• Assist with serving meals to residents.
• Clean and sanitize cooking areas and serving carts.
• Work cooperatively and harmoniously with personnel in all departments.
• Report resident care concerns and potential issues to the Administrator and/or Director of Nursing.
• Participate in the orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
• Ability to make the presentation of the food appealing to the residents.
• Willing to supervise and to work under supervision.
