University Hospital in Newark seeks a dedicated IS project manager to develop and oversee complex hospital information system projects, guiding planning, development, implementation and support while supervising analyst and project staff.

You will lead testing strategies, training plans, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with end users and vendors to ensure compliant, reliable systems and clear documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field, CS, Business, Liberal Arts, Science, or related field.
• 5 years of information systems experience, preferably in a hospital environment.
• Must complete Epic certification within 6 months of training.
• Ability to develop and manage complex project work plans.
• Demonstrates interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; team-oriented.
• Equivalent education or training may substitute for degree requirements.
• Additional relevant experience may substitute for IS experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages complex projects.
• Recommends resource planning and support needs for successful implementation.
• Oversees design and development of applications from analysis to implementation.
• Coordinates installation of software/hardware with IS&T standards.
• Interacts with end users, vendors and stakeholders for testing and deployment.
• Contributes to policy and procedure development for systems implementation and support.
• Manages training programs to enhance proper system usage by users.
• Leads or participates in project committees and documentation.
