Job summary

Oroville Hospital is seeking a Help Desk Technician to provide Tier 1 support for the Hospital Information System, VMware, and related devices. The role requires a mix of technical and customer service skills to assist users with desktops, laptops, printers, and software issues.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and strong knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, and customer service practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Working knowledge of software, hardware and other equipment.
• Working knowledge of Windows operating system environments.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite and webmail.
• Customer service experience required.
• Experience in troubleshooting and help desk support.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Good problem analysis and problem-solving abilities.
• Team-oriented with good time management.
• Keep systems updated and current.

Responsibilities

• Handle Tier 1 help desk escalations in person, by phone, and electronically.
• Support desktops, laptops, Wyse laptops, MS Windows, and software/hardware issues.
• Process data accurately and maintain logs and reports.
• Monitor systems and data communication lines for issues.
• Provide user support for company applications and platforms.
• Follow standard help desk procedures and document resolutions.
• Log all interactions and escalate urgent issues when needed.
• Cover other help desk positions as required.
