Ochsner Health is seeking a Maintenance Technician to address hospital maintenance needs, perform repairs across electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, and complete preventive tasks. You will respond to emergencies, work with various facility systems, and help keep patient care areas safe and functional.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, with hands-on trade skills and experience in hospital or industrial settings.

Formación

• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Familiar with plumbing, electrical, HVAC-R and carpentry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be mechanically inclined and able to multitask.
• Knowledge of codes and standards.

Responsabilidades

• Perform inspections, troubleshooting and repairs of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing items within hospital settings.
• Complete preventive maintenance and document activities.
• Respond to repairs of critical systems like nurse call, fire alarm, medical gas, and ceiling systems.
• Work on-call for emergencies and extended hours.
• Assist with facility upkeep and building systems.
