Job summary

Crothall Healthcare is hiring a Facilities Plumber for the Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU. This role supports plumbing/utility maintenance across a major medical center with a 1st shift schedule from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of plumbing experience
• Hospital plumbing experience preferred
• Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English
• Ability to stand for long periods and withstand temperature changes
• Ability to lift and push heavy equipment

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and schedules the activities of skilled trades staff in the maintenance and repair of hospital buildings and equipment
• Monitors work orders to completion and charges to appropriate work orders
• Provides direction to staff to ensure safety of patients, staff and visitors
• Conducts inspections of work sites to ensure conformance to job specifications
• Recommends and implements policies and procedures for the assigned area
• Estimates equipment parts and materials needed to complete work
• Maintains communication with vendors and contractors to coordinate maintenance activities
• Complies with Joint Commission, NFPA and all applicable regulatory agencies
