This 1st shift role runs 7am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, and offers the opportunity to maintain essential hospital plumbing systems with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include coordinating trades staff, managing work orders, inspecting sites, and ensuring quality workmanship per Joint Commission and NFPA standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; college preferred.
• 3-5 years of plumbing experience.
• Hospital plumbing experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
• Ability to stand for long periods and withstand temperature changes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and schedules the activities of skilled trades in maintenance and repair of hospital buildings and equipment.
• Monitors work orders to ensure proper labor, supplies, and materials allocation.
• Provides guidance on safe methods to protect patients, staff and visitors.
• Inspects work sites to ensure compliance with job specifications.
• Recommends and implements policies for the assigned area.
• Estimates parts and materials needed to complete tasks.
• Coordinates with vendors/contractors for repairs and maintenance.
• Complies with Joint Commission, NFPA and regulatory standards.
