Job summary

Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Group USA company, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the VCU Community Memorial Hospital on the 1st shift (7am–3:30pm, M-F). The role involves troubleshooting, plumbing work, and building systems maintenance in a hospital setting.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of related maintenance experience, strong communication skills, and a valid driver’s license. Familiarity with Building Automation Systems and work order software is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of related maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to follow up on maintenance tasks.
• Driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Experience with Building Automation Systems.
• Experience with computerized work order systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment sets, replace plumbing fixtures, rod drains, and fix leaks.
• Supervise and adjust building automation system for patient/staff comfort.
• Test generators, replace light fixtures, bulbs, tiles, and respond to issues.
• Use drawings and manuals to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Coordinate work with vendors and contractors.
• Perform preventative maintenance on E/P system, lighting, HVAC, and related systems.
• Conduct building and mechanical room inspections according to maintenance program.
