Job summary

Advocate Health Care in North Carolina seeks a Security Communications Dispatcher for the MedCenter Air Communication Center. You will manage emergency calls, dispatch security and public safety personnel, and document requests in the CAD/Security Communications system.

Training is provided. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 1 year dispatch center experience preferred and APCO certification preferred. Rotating shifts run 7am–7pm, with 12-hour shifts and a 40-hour workweek.

Responsibilities

• Dispatches Security personnel to scene as requested to ensure prompt response.
• Documents requests for service and events in Security Communications database or CAD system.
• Receives calls via radio or phone and follows protocols to ensure effective response.
• Transmits accurate information to personnel as needed.
• Monitors alarms and ensures prompt resolution and proper dispatch to appropriate agencies.
