Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Security Communication Specialist at the MedCenter Air Communication Center in North Carolina. You will receive calls via radio or phone, dispatch appropriate personnel, and document events to ensure rapid, coordinated responses.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 1 year dispatch center experience preferred, and APCO certification preferred. A multi-week training program is provided for phone/radio communications and CAD entry.

Qualifications

• Must speak clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Dispatches Security personnel to scenes per customer requests and documents service events.
• Receives calls via radio or phone and follows protocols to ensure effective emergency response.
• Transmits accurate information to personnel and prioritizes emergency calls.
• Monitors equipment panels and ensures prompt return to normal operation.
• Documents emergencies in Security Communications database.
