Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas, part of Methodist Health System, is seeking a dispatcher to provide operator services, police dispatch, emergency monitoring, and alert/code paging for physicians, visitors, and staff.

You will support the mission of Methodist Health System, coordinating across campuses with a flexible schedule and reporting to the police/engineering teams. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

• Able to handle stressful situations and make timely decisions.
• Organize work area with time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
• Work flexible schedule across multiple MHS campuses.
• Computer skills; MS Office experience helpful.
• Demonstrates adaptability and initiative.
• Strong customer service and listening skills.
• Experience in multi-line phone operation and radio dispatch preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer and direct incoming calls; provide assistance and directory services.
• Attend annual safety training and complete required safety programs.
• Dispatch personnel during emergencies via paging, radio, and electronic tools.
• Maintain activity logs for police, engineering, and staff as directed.
• Monitor alarms (code red/blue, etc.) and respond per policy.
• Provide dispatch services using campus two-way radios.
• Other duties as assigned.
