Aufgaben

• Serve as the main point of contact via telephone with the public and with hospital departments in routine and emergency situations.
• Answer multiple lines, screen and process requests for patient location and physician information, and transfer calls.
• Place off-campus phone calls for physicians as requested and manage overhead paging.
• Document emergency codes and incidents according to established protocols.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and inclement weather; initiate appropriate actions when alarms activate.
• Coordinate transportation and act as after-hours contact for various departments including home health and hospice.
• Support the cardiology cath team emergency notification and call-back process.
