Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Switchboard Operator in Brunswick, ME for a part-time, day-shift role within the Patient Access team. The role handles telephone communications, paging announcements, and greeting visitors while adhering to policy guidelines.

You will need strong data entry and computer skills, with experience in customer service or dispatch. You will support clinical care teams, security, and facilities, and may take on additional Patient Access duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in customer service or dispatch/switchboard preferred.
• Computer and data entry experience with Word, email, and internet preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage prompt and efficient telephone communications between outside and inside the organization, including paging announcements and greeting visitors.
• Work with clinical care teams, security, facilities, patients, and the public.
• May perform additional Patient Access functions and maintain the master directory.
