Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a customer-focused professional to support healthcare operations. You will handle basic inquiries, coordinate codes, and assist with patient registrations within the electronic medical record environment.

This role requires strong communication, mentorship to new staff, and the ability to manage time effectively. Expect rotation between day and night shifts with weekend/holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent (GED).
• 1 year of experience in Customer Service, Call Center, and/or Healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Answer basic questions about hours, directions, and contacts.
• Coordinate emergency codes and disaster procedures.
• Monitor and update patient status in the EMR.
• Assist with patient registrations as needed.
• Use overhead paging system to communicate information and locate hospital staff.
• Monitor temperature, humidity, and pressure of hospital equipment.
• Mentor new associates and assist in orientation.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, sound judgment, and problem solving.
• Manage own time and tasks independently; work well in a team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Exhibit excellent communication and outstanding customer service and listening skills.
• Alternate shifts between 2:00 PM–10:30 PM and/or 10:00 PM–6:30 AM with alternating weekends and holidays.
