Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Patient Billing Customer Service Associate to handle hospital and professional billing inquiries, balance collections, and communications with patients, guarantors, and offices. This role supports accurate data entry, uses MS Office, and provides excellent service across channels.

Primary duties include taking incoming calls, processing payments, updating demographic and insurance information, and ensuring timely follow-up on self-pay accounts.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of customer service experience.
• Experience with hospital and/or Professional billing and collections preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and guarantors regarding balances due.
• Handle all incoming calls related to hospital and professional claims.
• Collect credit card payments over the phone and update accounts accordingly.
• Update insurance and demographic information in the billing system.
• Retransmit claims after updating information and review charity care adjustments.
• Meet daily productivity targets and document notes clearly in the billing system.
