Capital Health in Lawrenceville, NJ is seeking a billing customer service representative to handle hospital and professional balances. You will manage incoming/outgoing calls, liaise with patients, guarantors, and providers, and ensure accurate account updates.

This role requires at least a high school diploma and one year of customer service experience; hospital billing experience preferred. The position offers an $18.57–$23.23 hourly range, 40 hours weekly, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of customer service experience required; hospital/professional billing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary customer service for hospital and professional billing.
• Handle all incoming/outgoing calls related to patient balances.
• Act as liaison between patients, guarantors, attorneys, physician offices, hospital departments, and payers.
• Collect credit card payments over the phone and note accounts accordingly.
• Make outgoing collection calls on self-pay accounts.
• Update insurance and demographic information in the system.
• Retransmit claims after updates; adjust charity care claims as needed.
• Adhere to productivity targets and maintain accurate notes in the billing system.
