Elevate Patient Financial Solutions is seeking a Hospital Based Patient Advocate to guide uninsured hospital patients through financial assistance programs, onsite at a San Francisco hospital.

The role involves bedside eligibility assessments, completing applications, and coordinating with hospital staff to ensure accurate documentation and timely enrollment. A driving license is required for some duties, with a 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday–Friday schedule.

Competenze

• Some college coursework preferred.
• Prior hospital experience preferred.
• Adaptability when dealing with changing processes and programs.
• Professional experience with state and federal programs.
• Strong critical thinking and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to move throughout the hospital and patient rooms during shift.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook).
• Clear oral and written communication.

Mansioni

• Screen uninsured hospital patients at bedside to determine eligibility for federal, state, and/or county programs.
• Complete the appropriate applications and follow through until approved.
• Document cases accurately in Elevate PFS and hospital systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
• Maintain assigned work queue of patient accounts.
• Collaborate with hospital staff, case managers, social workers, and financial counselors.
• Handle calls and track enrollment/renewal for Medicaid patients.
