Job summary

Elevate Patient Financial Solutions is seeking a Hospital Based Patient Advocate to help uninsured hospital patients navigate Medicaid and other assistance programs. This full-time, on-site role is based at a Tacoma, WA hospital with a Monday–Friday 8:30 AM–5:00 PM schedule.

You will screen patients bedside, assist with applications, document cases, and collaborate with hospital staff to secure coverage. A patient-centric mindset and familiarity with state and federal programs will help you

Qualifications

• Some college coursework preferred.
• Prior hospital experience preferred.
• Adaptability with changing processes and programs.
• Experience with state and federal programs is a plus.
• Strong communication and multitasking in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Screen uninsured hospital patients at bedside to determine eligibility for federal/state programs.
• Complete applications and follow through until approved.
• Document cases accurately in Elevate PFS and hospital systems.
• Provide excellent customer service at all times.
• Maintain assigned work queue of patient accounts.
• Collaborate with hospital staff, case managers, and social workers.
