Job summary

Elevate Patient Financial Solutions is seeking a Hospital Based Patient Advocate to guide uninsured hospital patients through medical and disability assistance programs at a hospital in Ewa Beach, HI. This full-time, on-site role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with frontline interaction in patient rooms and collaboration with hospital staff to ensure accurate application submissions.

Qualifications

• Some college coursework preferred.
• Prior hospital experience preferred.
• Adaptability to changing processes and government programs.
• Professional experience with state and federal programs.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to multitask to meet performance metrics in a fast-paced environment.
• Dressing according to client dress code.
• Hybrid roles require compliant home internet speeds.

Responsibilities

• Screen uninsured hospital patients at bedside to determine eligibility for federal, state, and/or county medical or disability assistance.
• Complete the appropriate applications and follow through until approved.
• Document cases accurately in Elevate PFS and hospital systems.
• Provide excellent customer service at all times.
• Maintain the work queue of patient accounts.
• Collaborate with hospital staff, case managers, social workers, and financial counselors.
