Job summary

Guidehouse in Inglewood, CA is seeking an Admitting Representative to collect and verify demographic and insurance information, assign medical records and ensure accurate billing and clinical data entry.

The role is a part-time night-shift position (3 weekends/month) with rotating holidays; requires 0–2 years in medical/customer service, data entry skills, and ability to obtain BLS and AVADE training within 30 days of start date.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-2 years of medical or heavy customer service experience with data entry and insurance systems.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to obtain AVADE training offered by MLK Community Hospital within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify demographic and financial information from patients and sources.
• Obtain signatures on consents and insurance forms.
• Enter data and document admissions/registrations; obtain pre-certification or authorization numbers.
• Notify patients and staff of insurance coverage issues and co-pays or deposits.
• Review orders and ensure all information is complete; comply with Medicare requirements.
